Taller de Permiso is a community arts campaign that works toward economic justice by amplifying the cultural wealth of street vendors and supporting the needs of informal business owners. The project is run by Las Imaginistas, a socially engaged art collectivo in Brownsville, Texas.

We collectively investigate and reimagine current city permitting policy in the Buena Vida Neighborhood in Brownsville, TX and use creative placekeeping and art as a tool for dreaming, organizing, capacity building, and strengthening networks in our community.
